The publication of the Healthcare Quality Strategy for NHS Scotland highlights the need to develop systematic and sustainable approaches to increasing the ability of NHS Scotland to continuously improve the quality of healthcare delivered.

NES has been tasked with developing an educational framework which supports the development of knowledge and skills in quality improvement methodologies across NHS Scotland.

By the end of the programme there will be a range of educational activities and resources available in a variety of formats which support the delivery of the Quality Strategy. The programme will build on existing investment in quality improvement education and training as well as developing new and innovative approaches which support a sustained approach to developing knowledge and expertise.

The programme will support a partnership approach to delivering solutions for quality improvement knowledge which are accessible to staff undertaking a variety of different roles in service improvement settings across primary, community and acute care.

Main place of training delivery: Edinburgh & Lothians

Estimated value of requirement: There is a maximum budget of £15,000 excluding VAT for this non-recurring project
